As our largest investment to date, it will place us among the world\u2019s top 20 freight forwarders, strengthen our position in key markets, and expand our capabilities across the supply chain,\u201d said CEO Allan Melgaard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTogether with OIA Global\u2019s talented people and experienced leadership team, we will create a stronger, more resilient platform for future growth,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>News of the deal was first flagged on <em>Loadstar Premium\u2019s<\/em> DeskOne news feed yesterday:<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_327554\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/theloadstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/d1-sgl.png?ssl=1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-327554\" class=\"size-large wp-image-327554\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/theloadstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/d1-sgl.png?resize=420%2C185&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"Scan Global Logistics\" width=\"420\" height=\"185\" \/><\/a>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-327554\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Source: DeskOne<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>While the purchase price was undisclosed, SGL has spent much of the past month raising funds, and on 22 October successfully issued a \u20ac300m bond, which it said would be partly used to finance its next acquisition.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <em>\u8f7d\u661f<\/em> also understands that SGL\u2019s shareholders, led by private equity firm CVC Capital Partners, have injected a further \u20ac111m to help fund the deal.<\/p>\n<p>According to SGL, OIA Global posted revenues of $780m in 2025, and employs around 1,200 staff across 60 offices.<\/p>\n<p>\u6839\u636e <em>Loadstar\u7684<\/em> sources in the M&amp;A field, OIA Global has been on the market for some time \u2013 the US family-owned fund Lacy Diversified Industries (LDI) seeking an exit.<\/p>\n<p>LDI acquired OIA in 2010 and since has completed five acquisitions to expand OIA\u2019s geographic and vertical scope \u2013 the first of which was the purchase of UK forwarder Belville Rodair in 2013, which gave it its first presence in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat stood out to us about Scan Global Logistics was not only the scale of the organisation, but also the way it does business,\u201d said OIA Global CEO Jeffery Barrie.\u00a0\u201cBoth companies are built on strong customer relationships, entrepreneurial thinking, and empowered local teams.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese shared values provide a strong foundation for the future and make SGL the right partner for OIA Global,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>SGL added: \u201cOIA has developed a diversified business model that extends beyond traditional freight forwarding. Its established capabilities in supply chain management, customs brokerage, project logistics, and packaging solutions will complement SGL\u2019s expertise and broaden the combined company\u2019s ability to support customers across increasingly complex global supply chains.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of next
