Perenti Limited has announced that its subsidiary mining business African Mining Services via the AMAX LTD joint venture, has reached agreement with AngloGold Ashanti on an orderly transition plan at the Iduapriem Gold Mine in Ghana.<\/p>\n

Iduapriem is an opencast mine in the Western Region of Ghana where AMS has been providing mining services
\nsince 2018 via a joint venture with local partner, MaxMass. <\/p>\n

Under the terms of the agreement, AMAX will continue
\nto deliver mining services at Iduapriem until contract completion. At the end of the contract the majority of the
\nAMS owned equipment on site will be sold to AngloGold Ashanti under a valuation methodology agreed in the
\ncontract, with expected proceeds to AMS estimated to be between AUS$30 million and AUS$40 million. \n<\/p>\n

The contract details are:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Contract value: Circa AUS$95 million. \n<\/li>\n
  • Contract term: Circa 6 months from 17 July 2026. \n<\/li>\n
  • Services: Surface mining and related supporting services.<\/li>\n
  • Fleet sale: Sale proceeds of approximately AUS$30-40 million at the contract conclusion. \n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Vanessa Torres, Managing Director & CEO of Perenti said, \u201cI\u2019m pleased we have reached an agreement for the
    \ntransition at Iduapriem, reflecting AMS\u2019s long-standing record of strong operational delivery and enduring
    \npartnerships across Africa. Additionally, the agreed sale of equipment at the end of the contract provides certainty
    \nand the opportunity to recycle capital within Perenti. <\/p>\n

    The expected proceeds will be allocated towards several
    \nvalue-accretive opportunities currently under consideration.\u201d \n<\/p>\n
